EDITORIAL

This edition of Nigerbiblios(Vol.32, No.1 Jan-June 2022)presents a range of research articles on contemporary issues in the practice and teaching of librarianship. The papers went through rigorous assessment and were found to be worthy in contributing to the development and advancement of the Library and Information Science profession.

The following articles arefeatured in this issue:

  1. “Attitude of library and information science undergraduates towards knowledge sharing:Acase study of Delta state university,Abraka in Niger Delta region of Nigeria,"is about the belief, emotion, and behavior of undergraduate students of Delta State University to determine knowledge sharing and the types of knowledge shared among them.
  2. "Budget preparation, approval and implementation", discussed budget preparation.approval and implementation in Colleges of Education libraries in Delta State.Nigeria.
  3. "Determinants of the Use of Information and Communication Technology by Library and Information Science Students in Universities in Nigeria", discussed the use of Information and Communication technology by library and information students in Nigerian universitics.
  4. "Gender influence on the usage of Information and Communication Technology by Librarians in University libraries in South-South and South West Nigeria," revealed that gender of librarians does not influence the usage of ICT in university libraries in South-South and South-West.
  5. “Librarians' Competencies and Organization of Knowledge in Academic Libraries in Delta and Edo States" the authors adopted survey research design to investigate librarians'competencies and organization of knowledge.
  6. The article on "Library Educational Development and Training of Librarians for the Promotion of user-friendly Academic libraries in Nigeria" discussed the concept of education and training and highlighted programmes as well as course contents for the education and training of librarians.
  7. The critical need for libraries to prioritize the development of electronic library and online services was emphasized in “Impact of Covid-19 pandemie on Academic Library Services in Delta State University Library.Abraka".
