Abstract

The standard of education in Nigeria has declined due to factors such as the proliferation of institutions, poor recruitment, and the rise of non-teachers. The rapid growth of educational institutions has led to an increase in non-teachers serving as teachers and educators. Other causes include frequent policy changes, poor financial management, and corruption in school principals. The Joint Consultative Committee suggested that more funds could be spared for primary education to prevent yearly deterioration in school performance. The article suggests that the library can play a crucial remedial role in improving college Geography examination performance.
