Abstract

The Centre for Management Development (CMD) Library is a body responsible for promoting management development in Nigeria. It was created by the government to address the country's deficiency in managerial personnel and the importance of efficient economic resource management. The Library for Management Studies has maintained a collection of 20,000 volumes and 200 journal titles within seven years, attracting and retaining professional staff. The library prides itself on its appropriateness to the Nigerian management public and its organization, including third-party organizations. The CMD Library aims to maintain its lead position in black Africa by improving service and addressing the nation's management and administration needs.
