This study explores the relevance of public libraries for people with disabilities in Osun State, Nigeria, focusing on the accessibility of library services, the resources available, and the impact on the educational and social integration of individuals with disabilities. Through quantitative methods, the research identifies significant barriers faced by this demographic, including physical inaccessibility, limited adaptive resources, and social stigma. The findings reveal that while some libraries have initiated inclusive programs, many still lack the necessary infrastructure and support to effectively serve individuals with disabilities. The study concludes that enhancing accessibility and inclusivity in public libraries is crucial for empowering individuals with disabilities, improving their educational outcomes, and fostering a sense of belonging within the community.
